History Trial 2007

I have been absent in awhile here, and it's all due to the history trials and some other stuffs happening around me. Now that I am here, let's talk about the history trial.

I would say this trial is fun, even though some part might not be interesting. Credits must be given to Wern How aka the American spy and also Clement aka General Tony Tills. Both of them acted out their roles perfectly, adding some humor to the trial. We played a little mind game by not questioning the American spy, and I would have say that worked to our advantage to some point. =p

After going through a gruelling 4 hours of trial, the verdict came out fresh from the oven. We lost one accusation out of the total of three accusation, so I guess that is considered as a partial win, isn't it? =p

Well, you think 4 hours of trial is gruelling, think again. We had to be the jury for the next trial, the witch craft trial, which lasted around 3 hours. The requirements of a jury? Sit, pay attention to the entire trial in progress, can NOT talk to anyone or make any noise, NO dozing off whatsoever, and in the end come up with the trial verdict. Gosh! That's so torturing. But to be fair, the other group sat for us for 4 hours, so we can't leave them stranded alone, right?

It wasn't too bad actually, most likely due to all the antics of those characters and also all those costume. But what made the situation more uncomfortable is that, all of us had lunch around 11am and hasn't eaten anything since then. Imagine having your stomach grumbling from 4pm till 9.30pm! =s

When the trial ended, a sigh of relieve was collectively heard throughout the hall. After a short photo session, food became the main source of attraction. =p We had McD, and I tell you, burgers and fries never did taste better! ><

I must say it's a great experience to have a trial as a class assignment, and I throughly enjoyed every moment of it, from the beginning to the progress to the verdict. I haven't got those pictures yet, but like what Dr. Borges said, those pictures will be proudly remembered.
